Tunnel Mapping
The course reviews basics of tunnel mapping including rock structures, rock identification, discontinuities in rock, classifications of rock by using different systems. Tunneling methods and types are also briefly discussed.
Course Outcomes
The students should be able to:
Ø Understand about Tunnel Mapping including basic concepts
Ø Identify and classify rock, map discontinuities and rock mass assessment
Ø Learn basics of NATM
Ø Develop an understanding of basic concepts of tunneling, methods of tunneling and classifications
