The course Geotechnical Site Investigations is designed to provide students with an understanding of the methods and techniques used in geotechnical site investigations. The course covers topics such as soil exploration, sampling methods, in-situ testing, and laboratory testing. 

Course Outcomes

ØLearning about the various types of soil exploration techniques such as drilling, boring, and excavation.

ØTo teach students about the different types of soil sampling methods, including disturbed and undisturbed sampling, and how to choose the appropriate method for a particular site.

ØTo provide knowledge on in-situ testing methods, such as cone penetration testing  and laboratory testing methods.

ØTo demonstrate the importance of geotechnical engineering and planing and execution of geotechnical site investigation.
